IR/INFO Conference 2023
15 January 2023 - 18 January 2023
Infraspection Institute, the undisputed leader in infrared thermographic education and training, created and developed IR/INFO in 1987 as a forum for information exchange in the thermographic, NDT, and P/PM realms. This unique program is well known within industry as the original source for infrared information exchange. As we have throughout the last decade, Infraspection once again presents you with the opportunity to join us for four days of dynamic education at its finest.
Infraspection Institute invites you to join us at IR/INFO 2023, to be held January 15 – 18, 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
Whether you are a return or a new guest, expect to hear (and share, if you’d like) success stories, proven techniques, and interesting case histories. Learn more about program and cost justification, results of technological research, and equipment updates. Network, discuss and find solutions and answers to your thermographic challenges and questions. Be proactive and be part of an exchange of information that is practical and relevant, clear and comprehensive. Return to your facility armed with knowledge that you can share and apply to the benefit of all!

Stories from the Field: Combining Acoustic Imaging Cameras and Thermal Imaging Cameras for More Wins
Condition monitoring technicians are the appointed guardians of the physical assets that drive American manufacturing. But if they only rely on information from a single source then they miss out on detecting the defect symptoms that can lead to unexpected shutdowns. Therefore, we advocate for combining data from multiple technologies – such as infrared and ultrasound – to score as many wins as possible for the stakeholders who entrust us to keep their machines running.
Craig Casler is a twenty-year veteran of infrared thermography, ultraviolet, and ultrasound inspections. Located in Erie, PA, Casler makes his living travelling the country finding and reporting on defects in electrical assets. Substations, transformers, T&D lines, and electrical cabinets are just some of the assets he protects on a daily basis. This presentation is a collection of stories from the field that demonstrate how Casler successfully finds and combines defect symptoms utilizing both ultrasound and infrared thermography to give his customers advance warning that trouble is on the horizon.
Warning: This presentation contains images and sound files that some viewers may find disturbing to their assets.
