At SDT Ultrasound Solutions, we are always looking for ways to improve asset reliability and make condition monitoring more efficient.
Our latest updates for our Ultranalysis Suite 3 Software UAS3 & the SDT340 bring powerful new features designed to enhance data accuracy, streamline workflows, and improve the overall user experience.
From ensuring data collection compliance to customizable dashboards and real-time alarm visibility, these new features will help you get even more value from your condition monitoring system. Let’s explore what’s new!
Interval Compliance Indicator (ICI) – Keeping your data reliable
One of the key challenges in condition monitoring is ensuring that measurements are taken at the right intervals. The new Interval Compliance Indicator (ICI) evaluates whether data collection follows the pre-defined schedule. This feature helps prevent gaps in measurement history, ensuring your insights are accurate and reliable.
ICI also plays a crucial role in future UAS3 improvements, making it a fundamental tool for maintaining consistent and trustworthy data.
Asset Status Management – Track assets with precision
Understanding the operational status of each asset is crucial for effective maintenance planning. With our new Asset Status Management feature, you can now classify assets into three categories:
In Operation – The asset is actively in use.
Redundancy – The asset is available as a backup.
In Workshop – The asset is under maintenance or repair.
This classification ensures that assets are properly tracked, preventing unnecessary alarms and ensuring that compliance indicators remain accurate. When an asset moves between these statuses, the ICI resets automatically, keeping your data clean and precise.
Enhanced Dashboard Customization – A tailored user experience
Your dashboard should work for you, not the other way around! The latest update allows you to move gadgets (trend graphs, time waveforms, spectrum, compliance indicators, and more) around your dashboard, ensuring that the most critical information is always visible.
With a more flexible layout, you can customize your workspace for better efficiency, helping you focus on the data that matters most.

New Default Tree Node: “Repair Workshop/Spare Parts”
To further improve asset tracking, we’ve added a new default tree node called “Repair Workshop/Spare Parts.” This feature allows users to move assets between statuses seamlessly:
- Drag-and-drop assets into this new node when they are under repair.
- The ICI resets automatically to reflect the change in status.
- Assets in this category are hidden from work orders to avoid confusion.
- Redundant assets remain in the tree but appear greyed out for easy identification.
This enhancement eliminates database clutter and ensures that only active assets appear in your regular maintenance workflows.

Bottom Pane Modifications – Improved alarm and trend visibility
We’ve made major usability improvements to the bottom pane of UAS3 & the SDT340:
- The Measurement Matrix will be removed in future updates, simplifying navigation.
- Users can now toggle trend indicators directly for a more intuitive experience.
- Alarm visibility is enhanced with color modifications, making it easier to detect potential issues at a glance.
These refinements streamline interaction with your data, making it easier to analyze trends and take action on alarms.

Custom Messages in UAS3 & the SDT340
Communication within your condition monitoring system is now more flexible! With this update, users can:
- Create custom messages in UAS3 and sync them with the SDT340.
- Copy messages across different tree structures to save time and improve consistency.
- Keep default messages unchanged, ensuring a standard set of system messages.
This feature helps teams stay better informed and aligned when managing assets.

Real-Time Alarm Notifications on the SDT340
Until now, alarms triggered in the SDT340 weren’t immediately displayed. That changes with this update! Alarms are now instantly visible, just like in UAS3.
This means that teams can react faster to critical situations, reducing the risk of unexpected failures and improving overall reliability.
Info Gadget – Helping you get the most out of new features
We know that new features can take time to learn. That’s why we’ve introduced the Info Gadget – a built-in guide that provides:
- Short instructions on new features.
- Helpful tips to improve your workflow.
- Feature explanations to ensure you make the most of the updates.
With the Info Gadget, you’ll never feel lost when exploring the latest enhancements!

OPEN-END Measurement – Capture data for as long as you need
Sometimes, a predefined measurement time just isn’t enough. That’s where OPEN-END Measurement comes in! This new feature allows data acquisition to continue until manually stopped, within the maximum time of 600 seconds (@32 ksps).
This is particularly useful for monitoring:
- Steam traps, electrical cabinets, complex processes etc., where critical acoustic signals might occur at unpredictable times.
- Intermittent faults, where precise timing is difficult to predict.
- Long-term testing, where extended measurement sessions are required.
By allowing unlimited measurement time, OPEN-END ensures that no critical data is missed.
Experience these upgrades today!
These updates mark an important step forward in making condition monitoring easier, more accurate, and more flexible. Whether you need better asset tracking, improved dashboard customization, or extended measurement options, these new features are designed to help you optimize reliability and efficiency.
We’re excited for you to explore these enhancements! Update your UAS3 software & SDT340 device today and take advantage of these powerful new tools.
