Personal data processing

The personal data, for which we are requesting your consent, are to be processed for the following purposes:

  • Customer management
  • Marketing direct
  • Quality management
  • Customer support

This type of personal data is to be processed:

  • Identification data
  • Video data

Some personal data are obtained from the following sources:

  • Fairs
  • Visiting cards
  • Service request to SDT International
  • Third party

You are free to decide whether you want to share your personal data with us (or not). Do take into account that if you decide not to share certain data with us, we may not be able to provide/supply/offer the product/service/… you are requesting.
Your data is, in principle, only processed internally by the following services:

  • Quality department
  • Manufacturing
  • Human resources
  • Research and development
  • Marketing and communication
  • Commercial

The data may be shared with processors to whom we outsource some of our processing work or with other affiliated companies, but always under our supervision and control. An overview of the processors can be obtained here.

We are sometimes obliged to share data with government bodies for which we always verify that the required conditions are met. In other cases, we have entered into a model contract with the recipient to ensure an similar/equivalent protection to that provided in Europe. When this has not been the case or when it could not be realised, we may still transfer your personal data if you have authorised this within the relation we have with you. We hereby ask you whether you authorise the occasional transfer of your personal data to third countries to allow the transfer and thus the processing of the data in these cases too.

We care about the protection of your personal data and take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data and in particular protect the data against loss, modifications and unauthorised access.
We process your personal data as long as it is required to realise the purposes for which we need them. Legislation may also require us to store the data during a specific period.

You have the right to access, rectify, request the rectification or erasure of and, in some cases, limit or request the limitation of the processing of your personal data. You can object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. Insofar as applicable you can also request the transfer of your data to another controller.
Insofar as the processing of your data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal only has consequences for the future.
If you think your rights have been infringed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
